You will be responsible for all aspects of SHEQ management matters within the Company and for promoting and maintaining the highest standards of SHEQ with clients and partners. Main Duties & Responsibilities To promote a proactive SHEQ culture throughout the Company. Provide advice and support to employees, contractors and suppliers on all aspects of project/office related SHEQ risk and opportunity. To liaise with all appropriate external bodies, including the HSE, EA and all consultant bodies acting on the Company’s behalf regarding SHEQ matters when necessary. To liaise with all clients and partners regarding SHEQ matters when necessary. Make site/project visits to conduct audits, inspections, training and if necessary, investigations. Ensure that all incidents are reported accurately and investigate and implement appropriate action(s) where necessary for incidents, behavioural observations and near miss reports, and develop written management reports when required. Ensure the SHEQ Dashboard is kept up to date. Work in conjunction with the Procurement team to conduct contractor/supplier SHEQ reviews when necessary. Carry out weekly SHEQ Site Inspections Implement and maintain the company’s integrated management system in accordance with the requirements of ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001. Develop SHEQ related training materials, including toolbox talks, for delivery to colleagues and contractors on a weekly basis. Supporting the SHEQ Manager in achieving goals for the company, department and project sites. Qualifications & Experience NEBOSH qualification in safety and environmental management Investigation and root cause training Full UK driving licence Knowledge and experience Demonstrable relevant experience, commensurate to the level of the position, in the same or similar role within the water/wastewater industry or other relevant design and build sector. Good working knowledge of CDM 2015 Good working knowledge of ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 Computer literate with ability to use a wide range of IT packages including Microsoft Office Very good communication skills, both written and verbal – including report writing and presentation skills Essential Well-developed interpersonal skills, able to deal with people at all levels (influence, negotiate and persuade) Good organisational skills and ability to prioritise to meet deadlines Willingness and ability to work away from home for short periods as and when required Willingness and ability to travel to other sites Apply today if you feel this is the right opportunity for you!
