Responsibilities and duties of the SHEQ Co-Ordinator role
Reporting to the Head of Operations you will:
Implement and maintain SHEQ management systems in accordance with ISO 45001 (Health & Safety), ISO 14001 (Environmental), and ISO 9001 (Quality) standards.
Assist in the development and review of SHEQ policies, procedures, and documentation.
Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
Monitor compliance with legal, regulatory, and company SHEQ requirements.
Maintain SHEQ records, including incident reports, audit findings, and corrective actions.
Support incident investigations and recommend corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.
Organise SHEQ training sessions and toolbox talks.
Promote a strong safety culture within the organization.
Prepare monthly SHEQ performance reports and metrics for management.
Liaise with external auditors, regulatory bodies, and clients on SHEQ matters.
Develop and maintain a positive H&S culture aligned with our company goals.
Ensure Health Surveillance is in order and compliance met in full.

Professional qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following:
NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent) - essential.
ISO management systems knowledge and/or auditor certification - preferred
Full UK Driving Licence
Personal skills
The SHEQ Co-Ordinator role would suit someone who has:
Relevant experience in a SHEQ-related role (e.g., 2+ years) in industry sector, e.g., energy.
Knowledge of current SHEQ legislation and best practices.
Pro-Active approach and retained accountability.
Open to learning new skills.
Comfortable building relationships internally and externally.
Ability to solve problems and implement long term solutions.
