Job Description
This SHEQ Manager role is based in London, you'll play a critical role in supporting operational teams, contractors, clients, and regulatory bodies-ensuring full compliance with legislation, industry standards, and best practice.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the delivery and ongoing development of SHEQ initiatives within the Gas division
Provide clear and practical SHEQ guidance to staff, contractors, and stakeholders
Ensure compliance with ISO standards including ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001
Drive the investigation and reporting of incidents, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions
Support audits and monitor SHEQ performance across sites
Encourage a proactive safety culture through visible leadership and engagement
Develop and implement SHEQ plans and improvement projects
Maintain accurate and up-to-date SHEQ documentation and reporting
Work collaboratively with all areas of the business to promote best practiceWhat We're Looking For:
Minimum of 3 years' experience in a SHEQ management role within the utilities or engineering sectors
Proven background in gas distribution (e.g. experience with Cadent, SGN, or similar)
Strong working knowledge of NRSWA, HSG47, and ISO standards
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
Skilled communicator with the confidence to engage stakeholders at all levels
Track record of successfully delivering SHEQ improvement initiatives
