🎯 Role Overview
We’re looking for a proactive and experienced SHEQ Manager to lead our safety, health, environmental, and quality initiatives across the UK. This is a pivotal role ensuring compliance with UK legislation and ISO standards (ISO 9001, 14001, 45001, 27001), while promoting a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
🔧 Key Responsibilities
* 🤝 Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal teams and clients to embed SHEQ priorities across all projects.
* ⚠️ Risk Assessments: Develop and implement robust risk assessments for our facility and sites.
* 🔍 Site Inspections & Audits: Conduct regular audits, identify non-conformances, and drive corrective actions.
* 📝 Incident Investigation: Lead investigations and implement preventative measures.
* 📜 Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to UK legislation and ISO standards.
* 📚 Training & Development: Deliver SHEQ training and promote a safety-first culture.
* 📂 Documentation & Reporting: Maintain audit-ready records and reports.
* 🌱 Promoting SHEQ Culture: Champion safety, sustainability, and quality across the business.
* 🧾 Tender Support: Assist with SHEQ documentation for tenders and pre-qualifications.
🎓 Qualifications & Experience
Essential:
✅ NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent Level 6 H&S qualification)
✅ SHEQ leadership experience in engineering, construction, or manufacturing
✅ In-depth UK legislation knowledge (H&S at Work Act, COSHH, PUWER, LOLER, CDM)
✅ Proficiency with ISO 9001, 14001, 45001, 27001
✅ Strong interpersonal and influencing skills
✅ Full UK driving licence and ability to travel
Desirable:
🌟 CMIOSH or IIRSM membership
🌟 Multi-site SHEQ leadership experience
🌟 Understanding of BS EN 1090, UKCA/CE Marking
🌟 Familiarity with mechanical handling systems
