As the SHEQ Manager, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest SHEQ standards. Reporting directly to the SHEQ and Compliance Director, you will be responsible for delivering the SHEQ strategy, maintaining ISO accreditations, conducting site inspections, investigating incidents, and fostering a culture of safety and quality excellence.

Description
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct workplace inspections focusing on safety systems and SHEQ attitudes, issuing formal reports with recommendations.
Promote SHEQ awareness through inductions, training, and continuous engagement with all personnel.
Support compliance with Construction (Design & Management) Regulations (CDM), including reviews and temporary works advice.
Lead investigations into accidents, incidents, fires, and dangerous occurrences, ensuring timely reporting and corrective actions.
Manage SHEQ incident databases and ensure all incidents are closed within agreed timescales, including regulatory notifications (RIDDOR).
Collaborate with management and subcontractors on risk assessments and method statements.
Attend site management and SHEQ meetings, liaising with regulators, clients, and contractors.
Deliver mandatory SHEQ training and promote ongoing development initiatives.
Monitor subcontractor SHEQ compliance and manage audit findings with timely closure of actions.
Profile
What We're Looking For:
NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent and CMIOSH (or working towards).
Environmental Management qualification (IEMA) and Quality Management qualification.
Professional body membership.
Relevant certifications such as SMSTS, TWC, CSCS, Lead Auditor, Fire Risk Assessment, CDM awareness, and Mental Health First Aider preferred.
Strong experience in engineering or district energy sectors desirable.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
High initiative, solution-focused, with ability to manage multiple priorities independently and as part of a team.
Strong attention to detail, integrity, and confidentiality.
