Responsibilities and duties of the SHEQ Manager role
Reporting to the Plant Manager, you will:
Promote a proactive safety culture, ensuring employees, contractors, and visitors understand and uphold their Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality responsibilities.
Lead, manage, and support the SHEQ team, fostering professional growth and high performance.
Implement, communicate, and maintain SHEQ objectives, policies, and procedures, driving continuous improvement.
Oversee compliance and continual improvement of Business Management Systems (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 55001).
Ensure effective engagement and alignment of SHEQ initiatives with business objectives and legal requirements.
Professional qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following:
NEBOSH General Certificate (with a willingness to work toward Diploma).
Relevant experience within a 24/7 industrial environment.
Previous experience in a health and safety role.
Proven ability to develop and implement SHE strategies and performance measures.
Strong knowledge of current UK legislation on SHE requirements.
