Shift Lead - Data Centre (Docklands Area, London)

Overview
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Shift Lead to join a data centre environment in the Docklands area. The role involves overseeing shift engineers, ensuring smooth site operations, and maintaining critical infrastructure to high standards.
Key Responsibilities
Technical & Operational Support
Act as the first point of contact for engineers requiring technical support.
Receive and complete PPM tasks via the site's maintenance management system.
Carry out diagnostic analysis and fault-finding across critical systems.
Perform visual inspections and submit reports on equipment condition or reliability concerns.
Complete all electronic and paper-based records, ensuring accurate and compliant logbook documentation.
Maintenance & Site Standards
Ensure maintenance consumables are stocked and replenished to agreed levels.
Execute general maintenance, housekeeping and plant room cleaning to maximise equipment life.
Respond promptly to client requests and support emergency call-outs when required.
Monitor and report on the performance of subcontractors when applicable.
Maintain plant areas to a clean and tidy standard at all times.
Identify opportunities for continuous improvement across site operations.
Health, Safety & Compliance
Follow all Health & Safety safe working procedures and environmental requirements.
Report hazards, omissions, or risks that could impact safe working conditions.
Support compliance across all site processes and documentation.
Additional Duties
Assist with breakdowns and corrective works as required.
Undertake any other reasonable tasks assigned by the Supervisor or Contract Manager.

12-hour shifts
Continental shift pattern (days & nights)
