Shift Maintenance Engineer
3 week rotation 3/ 4/ 3 with overtime opportunities
£42 - 43k
We are recruiting a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a leading food producer in Strabane. You'll be joining a solid engineering team with a company who respect the important of equipment maintenance.
Ideally looking for Electrical bias but if you are Mechanical with good knowledge of electrical and desire to up-skill then you will be considered!
Based in a fast-paced production environment, the successful candidate will play a key role in minimising downtime, maintaining plant performance, and supporting continuous improvement.
The Role
Carrying out preventative and reactive maintenance across plant equipment
Minimising production downtime through effective fault diagnosis and repair
Maintaining accurate records of all maintenance activities
Leading installation and commissioning of new machinery or equipment
Providing technical assistance to other departments as required
Identifying maintenance issues and contributing to ongoing improvements
Supporting and training apprentices in line with best practices
What We Are Looking For
Time-served with Level 3 in relevant trade (Engineering, Electrical, Mechatronic)
Maintenance experience in similar production, FMCG or manufacturing
Excellent knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems
Ability to diagnose faults across electrical control circuits, mechanical, and pneumatic systems
Hands-on experience with PLC-controlled machinery and programming motor inverters
Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings
