Are you an experienced engineer with a passion for keeping things running at their best? We’re looking for a Maintenance Technician to join a skilled Engineering team at a modern facility in Telford. This is a hands-on role where you’ll play a vital part in minimising downtime, improving reliability, and supporting ongoing projects to keep the site operating smoothly.
About the Role
Working on a 4 on / 4 off shift pattern (days and nights), you’ll take ownership of both planned and reactive maintenance, ensuring that equipment is maintained to the highest standards. You’ll also support project work, including refurbishments and new installations, while collaborating closely with production teams to deliver safe, efficient operations.
What You’ll Be Doing
*
Carrying out planned maintenance inspections and condition reports
*
Diagnosing and resolving faults quickly and effectively
*
Leading and supporting corrective and reactive maintenance activities
*
Contributing to engineering project work, refurbishments, and installations
*
Conducting dynamic risk assessments and ensuring a safe working environment
*
Monitoring equipment performance and escalating issues when needed
*
Logging activity in the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
*
Joining operational review meetings and problem-solving workshops
What We’re Looking For
You’ll thrive in this role if you have:
*
A Level 3 qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (City & Guilds or equivalent)
*
Previous experience in a production, manufacturing, or processing environment
*
Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
*
Experience with CMMS systems and proactive maintenance strategies
*
Knowledge of Health & Safety regulations and safe systems of work
*
Excellent communication, organisation, and a team-oriented approach
