Due to an increase in upcoming projects, there is now a need for a Shift Mechanical Engineers to join this highly successful and forward-thinking organisation.
The site is a state-of-the-art London landmark in a riverside destination. The site features luxury apartments, offices, shops, restaurants, and entertainment spaces, making it a symbol of London’s creative and urban renewal.
The Shift Mechanical Engineer, will be responsible for:

Carry out scheduled maintenance and repair of building services assets in line with contract specifications, manufacturers' guidelines, and approved codes of practice.

Respond promptly to breakdowns and reactive maintenance requests in accordance with SLAs.
*
Diagnose faults and carry out first-time fixes where possible; escalate issues where specialist intervention is required.
*
Monitor and maintain plant performance and service continuity, notifying relevant stakeholders of any required downtime.
*
Research and source spare parts or alternative replacements, ensuring suitability and compliance with standards.
*
Conduct dynamic risk assessments before commencing tasks and escalate safety concerns to the line manager.
*
Maintain all plant rooms, tools, and working areas in a clean, safe, and organised condition.
*
Ensure all hazardous materials are stored safely and in compliance with COSHH regulations.
*
Support the Service Desk with spares and consumables management, ensuring adequate stock levels for planned and reactive tasks.
*
Participate in site surveys, audits, and asset reviews as required.
*
Uphold company values and maintain professionalism, quality, and efficiency in all activities.
*
Be available for shift work and overtime as required by the business.
To be successful for this Shift Mechanical Engineer role you must have:

C&G Level 3 or equivalent in a relevant subject (Mechanical, Electrical, Air Conditioning & Refrigeration).
*
ONC/HNC in Building Services Engineering, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
*
NVQ Level 3 in a relevant discipline.
*
Recognised EITB Apprenticeship (Maintenance and Operations Engineering MOET) or equivalent.
*
Minimum 2 years' experience in building services engineering or maintenance.
*
Fully conversant with mechanical and electrical maintenance activities.
*
Strong understanding of safe systems of work and risk assessments.
*
Competent IT skills for electronic documentation and reporting.
*
Strong communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills.
*
Ability to work independently, under pressure, and during unsociable hours.
*
A proactive, team-oriented approach.
