This role requires an experienced Plant Operator to oversee and manage the operations of industrial equipment within the Engineering & Manufacturing department. The position is based in Birmingham and focuses on maintaining operational efficiency and safety standards.

Description
Report and monitor performance, by operating the plant turbine, boilers, and coordinate incoming and outgoing waste.
To maintain a steady control of the above by measuring temperature flow, pressure readings from the turbine/boiler, control systems and gauges.
Accurately report readings and log daily operations in the shift log for continued monitoring and shift changeovers.
Effectively react to planned and unplanned (i.e. emergency) repairs, blockages and changes in the plant central systems.
Promptly react to system alarms/protocols to secure areas of the plant if/as required.
Monitoring all areas of the plant from the control room. This includes, operating the overhead crane for the systematic removal of waste, and accessing all areas of the plant.Profile
A successful Plant Operator should have:
Strong understanding of industrial equipment and manufacturing processes.
Experience in an Engineering & Manufacturing environment.
Knowledge of health and safety standards within the industrial sector.
Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
Relevant technical qualifications or certifications.Job Offer
Competitive salary ranging from £41,000 to £43,000.
4 on 4 off (7 rotations then 18 days off)
