Job Title: Shift Production Operative
Location: Bury St Edmunds, IP28
Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent
Shift Pattern: Panama (12-hour rotating days and nights)
An established and growing FMCG business based near Bury St Edmunds is expanding its team and looking for a reliable Shift Production Operative. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a background in manufacturing or food production who thrives in a hands-on, fast-paced environment and is comfortable with long shifts.
Please note: Due to the rural location of the site, a full UK driving licence is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
• Operate and monitor a 24/7 production facility to ensure smooth performance
• Adjust and maintain milling and cleaning equipment for optimal efficiency
• Maintain consistent product quality and uphold strict hygiene standards
• Maximise production output while reducing downtime
• Complete all required safety and production documentation accurately
• Assist with preventative and reactive maintenance
• Keep workspaces clean, tidy, and safe at all times
• Support the loading of tankers when required
What We're Looking For:
• Previous experience on a Panama shift pattern is highly desirable
• Background in food production, FMCG, or manufacturing preferred
• A team player who's also confident working independently
• Basic IT knowledge and solid understanding of health & safety practices
• Physically fit and comfortable with manual, on-your-feet work
