The Shipping Agent / Logistics Coordinator plays a key role in ensuring the seamless turnaround of vessels and the effective coordination of logistics and administrative activities. This involves liaising directly with vessel Masters, crews, and port stakeholders, while supporting day-to-day shipping operations.
The successful candidate will demonstrate professionalism, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude — ensuring every vessel call runs efficiently, safely, and in compliance with operational requirements.
Key Benefits;
Salary £28,000 – £30,000 per annum (flexible dependent on experience)

1-in-3 weekend rota with a £75 allowance per shift (£150 for a full weekend) – work remote

The Candidate;
Previous experience in shipping agency, logistics coordination, or port operations.
Previous experience in ship agency or a related maritime role is highly desirable.
Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Strong knowledge of port operations, shipping regulations, and documentation procedures.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with diverse stakeholders.
IT proficiency, including Microsoft Office; knowledge of systems such as SAP Ariba or Unify is advantageous.
A proactive and problem-solving mindset, with the ability to handle unexpected challenges calmly and efficiently.
Flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings and weekends, as required by vessel schedules.
Duties and Responsibilities;
Attend vessels within the Humber Port area, liaising with Masters, officers, and crew to coordinate loading and discharging operations.
Handle and process vessel documentation, including collecting and presenting ship’s papers and maintaining accurate records.
Coordinate crew changes, transport, accommodation, and medical arrangements.
Support the agency team with voyage-related paperwork, scanning, emailing, and client communication.
Provide on-site operational support to ensure efficient vessel turnaround.
