Shovel Driver (Wheeled Loading Shovel)
Location: Little Hulton, M38
Pay: From £14.00 per hour (subject to experience)
Hours: Monday–Friday, 10 hours per day (including 1-hour break) | Alternative Saturdays available
Contract: Ongoing, subject to 1-month trial period
About the Role
Career-makers Recruitment are seeking experienced Shovel Drivers to join our client in the Little Hulton (M38) area. This is a hands-on role involving the operation of a Wheeled Loading Shovel and occasional manual picking duties within a waste/recycling environment.
Key Responsibilities
*
Safely operate a Wheeled Loading Shovel
*
Carry out manual picking/waste segregation as required
*
Maintain a clean and safe working environment
*
Support the team with additional duties when needed
Requirements
*
Previous experience operating a Wheeled Loading Shovel (essential)
*
A valid external licence is desirable
*
In-house training/licence can be provided, but this may affect starting pay rate
*
Reliability and commitment to the role
Hours & Pay
*
Monday to Friday: 08:00–18:00 (10 hours including 1-hour break)
*
Alternative Saturdays with overtime available depending on workload
*
Pay review after successful 1-month trial, based on experience, skill level, and performance
