Job Description
We are currently looking for a Shovel Driver / 360 Material Handler operator to join our successful client based in the Wallsend NE28 area. Our client has one of the highest recycling rates in Scotland and are constantly pioneering new technology and recycling processes.
A current valid Wheeled Loading Shovel and 360 Excavator Material Handler certificate along with previous experience is essential.
Pay rate: £12.40 per hour, OT x1.5 over 40 hours per week, weekly pay in arrears, every Friday
Incentive: expected gross pay £770.95 that includes time and half for overtime paid after 40 hours, & daily £15 bonus target imposed
Shift pattern: 7am-6pm, Monday - Friday, Saturday overtime x 1.5, 30 min unpaid break, 15 min paid break
Duties & Responsibilities
The role involves operating Loading Shovel Truck to perform a various of task including tipping and loading of vehicle outside in all weather conditions. Drive loading shovel to transport materials within the facility & ensure the health & safety standards are met.
* Loading outgoing vehicles and separating waste
* Transport raw materials to production workstations
* Supporting general yard operations & co-operate with site management as required
* Be aware of environmental factors and act accordingly – weather conditions, wind, noise, dust and litter
* Inspect machinery to determine the need for repairs and guarantee safety by performing regular checks
Candidate must:
* Have a valid Wheeled Loading Shovel and 360 Excavator licence
* Be able to work outside in all weather conditions
* Be able to adapt quickly to a fast paced, dynamic work environment
* Have previous experience within a waste & recycling industrial environment would be an advantage
