Job Description
Shunter Driver – £14.50 per Hour
Location: Halifax
Shifts: 6AM – 6PM (12-hour shifts)
Days: Tuesday–Friday or Wednesday–Saturday
Flexibility: Ideally able to cover night shifts (6PM–6AM) when required
We’re currently recruiting an experienced and reliable Shunter Driver to join our busy transport and logistics operation. This is a key role to help keep our yard and fleet moving efficiently and safely.
💷 Pay Rate: £14.50 per hour
Role Responsibilities:

Safely moving trailers between loading bays and yard areas
*
Ensuring all trailers are positioned accurately and on time
*
Carrying out vehicle checks and reporting any defects
*
Communicating effectively with warehouse and transport teams
*
Following all site health & safety and yard protocols
What You’ll Need:
*
Previous shunting or HGV experience (Essential)
*
Valid driving licence – shunter or HGV licence preferred
*
Excellent awareness of safety in a yard environment
*
Flexibility to work occasional night shifts when needed
*
A positive, team-first attitude
