Job Description
Job Title: Shunter
Location: Leeds, LS25
Position: Temp - Perm
Pay rate: £16.30 per hour + Overtime paid at £22.95 per hour
Shift Pattern: 5 days out of 7 - between 18:00-06:00 (8 hour shifts). Eg. 18:00-02:00, 20:00-04:00 etc.
HRGO are currently recruiting for an experienced Shunter to join a busy and fast-paced business based in LS25. This is a high-volume site, offering excellent rates of pay and long-term opportunities. Please note you must hold a CE (Class 1) driving licence.
Duties will include:
Moving trailers and vehicles safely within a busy yard environment
Carrying out routine vehicle and equipment checks
Supporting the smooth flow of site operations and vehicle movements
Working closely with internal teams to ensure deadlines are met
Completing basic paperwork and ensuring records are kept up to date
Maintaining high standards of safety and housekeeping at all timesRequirements
CE Driving Licence - Class 1
Previous experience in a similar role within transport, logistics, or yard environments
Strong awareness of health & safety practices
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
