Job Description
Job Title: Sign Maker / Sign Assembler
Location: Leicester
Hours of Work: Monday to Friday, 7:30am – 4:00pm (30-minute flexible lunch)
Salary: up to £34k, dependent on experience
Start Date: Immediate (flexible for notice periods)
Due to growth in the business, an opportunity is now available for a Sign Maker to join our client’s busy production team.
Our client produces high-quality internal, external, and digital signage for a national client base and are proud to support some of the UK’s most well-known businesses.
This role is ideal for an experienced and quality-driven Sign Maker who takes pride in their work and enjoys a varied and hands-on production role.
Responsibilities
* Print finishing – Preparing prints for application using equipment such as a roll-to-roll laminator, hemming and eyeleting banners
* Application and trimming of prints – Using a flatbed application roller and manual techniques for curved surfaces.
* Component assembly – Preparing signage elements including letters, multi-component signs, post & panel signs, and basic electrical assembly.
* Fabrication – Grooving and folding aluminium composite trays using upright material cutters/groovers.
* Box section frame production – Assembling structures for monolith-style signage.
* Packing – Picking, packing and preparing jobs for delivery or courier dispatch.
* Quality control – Supporting the development and maintenance of internal QC standards.
* Occasional on-site installation – Assisting with larger installations as needed.
* Equipment operation – With training, you may progress to operating and maintaining other machinery and equipment.
Experience, Skills & Qualifications
* Prior experience in a sign making or signage production role.
* Strong attention to detail and pride in delivering high-quality work.
* Ability to interpret detailed job specification documents.
* A self-starter capable of working independently and planning tasks effectively.
* A tidy, organised, and efficient working style.
