Job Description
An excellent long-term opportunity has arisen for an experienced Site Agent to join a major civil engineering contractor delivering a complex infrastructure project in Plymouth. The role involves overseeing key packages of work in utilities, tunnelling, and water infrastructure, with a minimum commitment of 12 to 18 months.
This position is offered outside IR35, with payment available via CIS or Limited Company.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead the delivery of site works in line with programme, quality, and safety requirements
*
Manage and coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and in-house teams
*
Liaise with the client, project engineers, and stakeholders to maintain clear communication and progress reporting
*
Monitor and drive progress, ensuring that project milestones are achieved
*
Ensure adherence to health, safety, environmental, and quality standards
*
Maintain accurate site documentation and support cost/resource management
Requirements:
*
Minimum 5 years' experience in a Site Agent or similar leadership role and two years as a senior engineer
*
Background in tunnelling, utilities, water, or infrastructure projects
*
Strong understanding of civil engineering practices and construction management
*
CSCS and SMSTS required
*
First Aid and Temporary Works Coordinator certification (preferred)
*
Excellent organisational and leadership skills
