Job Description
We are currently seeking an experienced Site Agent to oversee a marine civil engineering project based in Bridgwater. The role will involve managing site operations, coordinating subcontractors, and ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of works to programme and specification.
This is a freelance position, operating outside IR35, suitable for professionals working through CIS or Ltd company arrangements.
Key Responsibilities

Lead day-to-day site management and coordination of marine civils activities.
*
Supervise subcontractors and ensure works are delivered safely, on time, and to specification.
*
Manage site documentation including RAMS, ITPs, and daily reports.
*
Oversee health and safety compliance and promote a positive safety culture.
*
Liaise with clients, designers, and internal project teams to resolve technical or programme issues.
*
Support planning, progress reporting, and change control processes.
*
Ensure environmental and quality standards are met throughout the project.
Requirements
*
Proven experience as a Site Agent or Sub Agent on marine or heavy civils projects (quays, jetties, piling, or coastal works preferred).
*
HND/Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
*
Strong leadership and communication skills.
*
Proficient with site management systems and documentation processes.
*
Current CSCS card essential; SMSTS, First Aid, and Marine Safety qualifications desirable.
*
Ability to work independently and drive project delivery in a dynamic environment.

Rate: £380 – £480 per day (DOE)
