Site Agent – Freelance
Torcross, South Devon
£500 – £560 per day PAYE (inclusive of holiday pay)
12-Month+ Contract
A major coastal infrastructure scheme in South Devon is looking to appoint an experienced Site Agent to take the lead on a £12m coastal protection project in Torcross.
This is a technically challenging marine scheme involving significant rock armour works, with a large proportion of operations delivered from the sea. Due to the logistical complexity and environmental sensitivities of the project, this role would suit a capable Site Agent or established Project Manager with strong civil engineering and NEC contract experience.
The successful Site Agent will play a key role in managing site operations, overseeing subcontractors, coordinating marine logistics and ensuring contractual compliance throughout the lifecycle of the project.

Logistically complex environment with works delivered from both land and sea
Environmentally sensitive coastal location
Long-term freelance opportunity with at least 12 months’ work Key Responsibilities
Day-to-day management of site activities and project delivery
Administration and management of NEC contractual processes
Coordination of marine logistics and programme activities
Managing subcontractors, suppliers and site teams
Monitoring health, safety and environmental compliance
Liaising with the client, stakeholders and commercial teams
Ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme and within budget
Maintaining high-quality reporting and project documentation Candidate Requirements
Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or related discipline
Previous experience working as a Site Agent on civil engineering projects
NEC contract experience is essential
Background in marine, coastal, harbour or heavy civils projects would be highly advantageous
Strong understanding of logistics-heavy construction environments
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Ability to lead teams in challenging site conditions What’s On Offer
