Site Agent – Civils & Groundworks

Location: Norwich
Shift: Day Shift
Rate: £400–£500 per day (DOE)
Start: Immediate / ASAP

The Role

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Site Agent to join a major civils and groundworks project in the Norwich area. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a long-term infrastructure scheme, overseeing the successful delivery of earthworks, drainage, foundations, utilities, and reinforced concrete works.

You will be responsible for managing day-to-day site operations, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  * Manage the day-to-day delivery of civils and groundworks packages

  * Coordinate site teams, engineers, subcontractors, and plant operations

  * Ensure works are completed safely, efficiently, and in line with programme

  * Monitor progress and resolve any site issues to maintain productivity

  * Review and implement drawings, specifications, and construction programmes

  * Maintain high standards of quality control and site documentation

  * Produce and review RAMS (Risk Assessments and Method Statements)

  * Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations

  * Liaise with the Project Manager, client, and wider project team

  * Manage labour, materials, and plant requirements

Essential Requirements

  * Proven experience as a Site Agent on civils and groundworks projects

  * Strong background delivering infrastructure, roads, drainage, earthworks, RC, or utilities projects

  * Excellent knowledge of health and safety legislation

  * Ability to lead site teams and manage subcontractors effectively

  * Strong organisational and communication skills

  * CSCS Card

  * SMSTS

  * First Aid at Work

Desirable

  * Temporary Works Coordinator/Supervisor

  * NEC contract knowledge

  * Experience working on major infrastructure schemes
