Job Description

Works Manager / Site Agent – Civils
Location: Leiston / Sizewell area, Suffolk
Duration: Long term
Start: September
We are looking for an experienced Works Manager / Site Agent to join a major civil engineering scheme based near Leiston, Suffolk.
Candidates must have a strong background in civil engineering, with proven experience managing earthworks and heavy civils packages. This role would suit someone who has previously worked on major infrastructure, highways or large-scale ground engineering projects.
Duties
  * Managing day-to-day site operations and construction activities
  * Coordinating engineers, supervisors, subcontractors and site teams
  * Managing programme, productivity and sequencing of works
  * Overseeing earthworks, drainage, roads and associated civils
  * Ensuring works are delivered safely and in accordance with specifications
  * Managing RAMS, permits and site documentation
  * Monitoring quality and health & safety standards
  * Liaising with project management, engineering teams and client representatives
  * Producing progress reports and resolving site issues
Requirements
  * Proven experience as a Works Manager or Site Agent within civil engineering
  * Strong experience managing earthworks and heavy civils
  * Previous experience on major infrastructure or highways projects
  * Experience with drainage, roads, groundworks and associated civils
  * SMSTS
  * First Aid
  * Appropriate CSCS card
  * Strong leadership and site management skills
Candidates without a solid civils background will not be suitable for this position
