Job Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Site Agent to join a major infrastructure project in York.
The role is based on-site and will involve overseeing the construction of two large structures spanning the East Coast Mainline. The Site Agent will act as the construction lead on the ground, managing the day-to-day supervision of the site, overseeing safety and productivity, and ensuring smooth project delivery from start to finish.
Responsibilities:
*
Participate in compiling the initial programme and maintain full awareness of weekly targets
*
Plan and manage the site setup, ensuring all necessary facilities are in place prior to project launch
*
Lead and manage relationships with sub-contractors on site
*
Take ownership of ensuring HSEQS (Health, Safety, Environment, Quality, Sustainability) standards are always maintained
*
Enforce and monitor quality control procedures
*
Ensure the Temporary Works Register (TWR) is maintained and up to date
*
Monitor onsite energy usage and waste data
*
Manage an efficient registration system to track all personnel entering and exiting the site
*
Identify and flag any potential project risks to the Contract Management or Commercial Teams – including issues around materials, schedules, resources, H&S, costs, or delivery
*
Drive the pace of construction and coordinate fieldwork
*
Oversee and prioritise the sequencing of site activities
*
Lead a team of foremen and other site personnel
Qualifications and Requirements:
*
Strong trade or technical background
*
IOSH or equivalent Health & Safety management certification
*
Knowledge of Temporary Works & Excavation Safety
*
Familiarity with permitting for live energy works
*
Competency in Working at Heights and Scaffolding regulations
*
Experience with lifting and cranage operations
*
Additional HSEQS training as required by the project HSE plan
*
Awareness of modern construction technologies
*
Understanding of BIM (Building Information Modelling) strategy
