VIQU has partnered with a leading systems integrator in the nuclear sector to recruit a Site-Based Wireperson to join their long-term project. They are seeking an experienced E,C&I technician or Wireperson with strong panel wiring skills, to be successful in the role you must be comfortable working on-site in highly regulated nuclear environments and willing to travel to customer locations across the UK when required.
Key Responsibilities of the Site Based Wireperson:
Modify and wire control panels and marshalling cabinets using electrical schematics, including cable glanding, terminations, and panel modifications.
Update issue logs, red-line drawings, and liaise with site, design, or commissioning engineers to resolve issues.
Perform equipment builds, safety checks, wiring tests, insulation resistance tests, power-up checks, and other project-specific hardware tests.
Key Requirements of the Site Based Wireperson:
Experience of E, C & I installation and Control Panel wiring.
Must work well in a team.
Able to read and interpret electrical circuit diagrams, general assembly drawings, wiring schedules and parts lists.
Must be prepared to travel and work away at customer sites.
Full UK Driving License.
