Job Description
Site/Contracts Manager - Norwich/Kent
Our customer has 25+ years of dedicated experience in the sewage treatment industry. Their core focus is on supplying and fitting reliable sewage treatment units, drainage and utilities and pump stations, tailored to cater to the needs of both individual homeowners and property developers. The Site Manager will play a crucial role in overseeing large-scale infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities
Overseeing and Supervision of up to 10 installations per week
Project Planning & Execution: Oversee the day-to-day operations on-site, ensuring work is completed safely, on time, and within budget.
Team Coordination: Manage site staff of up to 6 gangs based in Norwich and Kent. Liaise with subcontractors, engineers, architects, and quantity surveyors.
Health & Safety Compliance: Enforce strict adherence to safety regulations and conduct regular site inspections.
Resource Management: Handle procurement and delivery of materials, plant, and equipment.
Technical Oversight: Interpret technical drawings and specifications, solve on-site issues, and ensure quality control.
Reporting: Maintain site records, prepare progress reports, and communicate updates to stakeholders.
Qualifications & Skills
Degree or HNC/HND in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
Proven experience in managing heavy civil engineering projects.
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Familiarity with construction software and project management tools.
Hands on experience in groundworks and heavy civils….practical not theory.
