Site Engineer (Geologist / Ground Investigations)

Salary - £34,000-£36,000/ year + van and fuel card 

Permanent Role

Ground Investigation Contractor

Site based - Manchester / North West

Essential requirement - 12-18 months site investigation contracting experience 

A Site Engineer is required to join a Ground Investigation contractor on a permanent basis in Manchester. You will be supervising and managing teams on small to medium sized geotechnical ground investigation projects on site, ensuring compliance in a technical, commercial, and HSEQ sense. You will also be responsible for logging rock and soil samples (such as boreholes and trial pits) and carrying out field testing and surveying, among other requirements.

The successful candidate must be qualified to degree level in a related field (such as Geology or Earth Sciences) and a minimum of 12-18 months site investigation contracting experience. The client is seeking an individual with a contractor background, including hands-on field experience, who is also comfortable supporting junior engineers. You must also hold strong communication and organisational skills, be proficient with MS office and have a full UK driving license, as the role will require travel to various sites.
