Site Engineer – Water Pipeline (Civils) – Portsmouth
Location: Portsmouth, Hampshire
Rate: £280–£350 per day (Outside IR35 – CIS / Limited Company)
Duration: 6 months
Start Date: ASAP
About the role:
We are seeking an experienced Site Engineer to join a civil engineering team delivering a major water pipeline installation project in the Portsmouth area. The role involves setting out and supervising the installation of water mains ranging from 200mm to 1500mm diameter.
Key responsibilities:
*
Setting out for water pipeline construction and associated civil works.
*
Overseeing installation of pipes, fittings, and chambers to design specifications.
*
Managing site QA documentation, as-built records, and progress reports.
*
Liaising with site management, subcontractors, and the client to ensure programme delivery.
*
Producing and updating CAD drawings as required.
Requirements:
*
Proven experience as a Site Engineer on water pipeline or utilities projects.
*
EUSR Water Hygiene (Blue Card) and current CSCS card.
*
Proficiency in AutoCAD and use of a laptop for setting out and reporting.
*
Strong understanding of civil engineering principles and site safety.
*
Ability to work independently and deliver to tight deadlines.
Contract Details:
*
6-month initial contract with potential for extension.
*
Outside IR35 – paid CIS or Limited Company.
*
Immediate start available.
