Job Description

Our client, a leading Civil Engineering and Infrastructure specialist, is seeking a Site Engineer to join their team in Stoke-on-Trent.

Responsibilities of a Site Engineer:

  * 

    Ensure all works are completed in line with environmental requirements.

  * 

    Uphold high-quality standards and support continuous improvement across the project.

  * 

    Ensure work is delivered free from defects and proactively identify opportunities for value engineering.

  * 

    Follow internal quality procedures and contribute to best-practice implementation.

  * 

    Set up and manage site survey controls and levels for multiple projects.

  * 

    Carry out accurate setting out of works in accordance with project drawings, performing regular checks.

  * 

    Maintain precise site records that meet both internal and legal requirements.

  * 

    Address unexpected technical issues and help resolve on-site challenges as they arise.

  * 

    Prepare procurement schedules and coordinate with the procurement team to ensure resources are available when needed.

  * 

    Create Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) and deliver task briefings.

  * 

    Develop a two-week look-ahead programme in collaboration with the Site Agent.

  * 

    Complete daily site diaries and allocation sheets to support project reporting.

Required Experience fror Site Engineer:

  * Previous experience in setting out on civil engineering projects

  * Sound knowledge of construction methods, health and safety, and legal regulations

  * Fully conversant with the use of robotic total stations or EDM instruments

  * Degree qualified/HNC (or equivalent) in civil engineering

  * Excellent communication skills

  * Self-driven, results-oriented with a positive outlook

Desirable

  * Experience in using AutoCAD and MS Office

  * Temporary-works co-ordination

  * CSCS card

  * Cable avoidance training

  * First aid training

  * NEBOSH or IOSH
