Job Description

We are recruiting a Site Engineer to support a major bridge scheme in Birmingham. This long-term contract offers the chance to work on a high-profile infrastructure project involving complex structural and civil works. You will be involved in both design coordination and on-site engineering support throughout the full project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  * 

    Assist with civil and structural works related to bridge construction and associated infrastructure

  * 

    Review design drawings, specifications and technical documents

  * 

    Provide site engineering support, including surveys, inspections and reporting

  * 

    Coordinate with designers, contractors and project stakeholders

  * 

    Monitor progress, quality and compliance with relevant UK standards

  * 

    Support construction planning, temporary works coordination and method statements

  * 

    Ensure all activities meet health, safety and environmental requirements

Requirements

  * 

    Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline

  * 

    Experience working on bridge, highway or major civil engineering schemes

  * 

    Good understanding of UK standards and construction practices

  * 

    Strong communication and coordination skills

  * 

    Ability to work independently under an Outside IR35 arrangement

  * 

    Site engineering or design office experience (both beneficial)
