Job Description

Site Engineer (HS2 Project) – Midlands – Long Term Contract

Site Engineer – HS2 (BBV Sublots 2A & 2B)
📍 Location: Midlands – between Stoneleigh and Hampton in Arden
💰 Rate: Competitive – CIS payment available
📅 Contract: Minimum 12-month contract guaranteed

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Site Engineer to join a major infrastructure project on HS2, working across BBV Sublots 2A & 2B. This is an excellent opportunity to secure a long-term contract role on one of the UK’s largest civil engineering projects, supporting drainage and infrastructure works across multiple active work fronts.

Key Responsibilities

  * 

    Setting out and surveying for drainage and infrastructure packages across the project.

  * 

    Delivering surface water drainage, culverts, carrier drains, attenuation systems and associated civils works.

  * 

    Carrying out QA checks and ensuring works are completed in accordance with drawings, specifications and ITPs.

  * 

    Maintaining accurate as-built records and supporting overall programme delivery.

  * 

    Coordinating subcontractors and daily site activities to ensure safe and efficient operations.

  * 

    Working collaboratively with site management and project teams to maintain productivity and quality standards.

Requirements

  * 

    Previous experience working on HS2 projects is essential.

  * 

    Proven experience delivering drainage packages within major civil engineering or infrastructure projects.

  * 

    Strong setting out capability with survey equipment such as Trimble or Leica.

  * 

    Ability to confidently read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.

  * 

    Experience managing multiple work fronts and coordinating subcontractors.

  * 

    Civil Engineering qualification (HNC / HND / Degree).

  * 

    Valid CSCS card.
