Freelance Site Engineer

360 Recruitment is currently recruiting for an experienced Site Engineer to work on behalf of a groundworks and civil engineering contractor.

This is a long-term freelance opportunity, ideal for an engineer with a strong background in residential groundworks who is comfortable working independently on site.

Job role: Site Engineer

Location: Stevenage

Start date: ASAP

Duration: Ongoing long-term work (potential to go permanent)

Rate: £300 - £350/day (dependant on level of experience)

Key Responsibilities:

Setting out for foundations, drainage, roads, kerbing and associated groundworks.
Maintaining and managing QA documentation and as-built records.
Take-offs.
Ensuring works are carried out in line with latest drawings and specifications.
Keeping fully up to date with drawing revisions and coordinating with site teams.
Liaising with site management, subcontractors and design teams.
About you:

Proven experience as a Site Engineer on residential groundworks projects
Experienced user of AutoCAD
Sound understanding of groundworks, drainage and civil engineering packages
Ability to manage QA and technical paperwork confidently
CSCS card.
