We are currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Site Engineer to join a major Highways Improvement Scheme on a long-term freelance basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for a technically skilled Senior Site Engineer seeking stability, continuity, and an immediate start on a well-structured highways project.
Key Responsibilities:
·Setting out for highways, drainage, earthworks, and associated civils works.
·Ensuring works are delivered in line with drawings, specifications, and project programmes.
·Managing QA documentation including ITPs, RFIs, and as-builts.
·Liaising with the Site Manager, Subcontractors, and Design Teams.
·Maintaining health & safety standards on-site at all times.
·Leading a team of engineers and providing technical support where necessary.
Requirements:
·SMSTS (valid).
·First Aid (valid).
·Civil Engineering qualification (HNC / HND / Degree or equivalent).
·Full UK Driving Licence.
·Proven experience on highways or infrastructure schemes.
·Ability to work autonomously and hit the ground running.
