Job Description

Our client, a leading civil engineering contractor, is seeking an experienced Site Engineer to join a major clean water infrastructure project.

The works involve cofferdam construction and backfill, clean water pipework installation, and associated heavy civils works across a long-term clean water programme.

Site Engineer Responsibilities:

  * Support the delivery of day-to-day site operations, ensuring works are completed safely, on programme, and to specification

  * Setting out and surveying for cofferdam, backfill, and clean water pipework works

  * Ensure all works are delivered in line with health & safety, environmental, and quality requirements

  * Produce and maintain accurate site records, as-builts, and QA documentation

  * Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and site teams to ensure efficient delivery of works

  * Assist with RAMS, permits, ITPs, and temporary works documentation

  * Monitor progress against the programme and report on site activities to the project team

  * Liaise with the Site Agent, Sub Agent, and design teams to resolve technical and operational issues

Site Engineer Requirements:

  * Proven experience working on clean water, utilities, or heavy civils projects

  * Experience with cofferdams, backfill operations, and pipework installation preferred

  * Strong setting out and surveying background within civil engineering environments

  * CSCS card required

  * Blue EUSR Water Hygiene card required

  * SMSTS or SSSTS beneficial

  * Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills

  * Proficient with surveying equipment and site engineering documentation
