Job Description

Our client is seeking an experienced and motivated Site Engineer to join their team on a 6-month contract based in the Lancashire area. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a busy infrastructure project with an immediate start and a strong pipeline of ongoing work.

Key Project Experience Required:

  * Section 278 works

  * Road widening schemes

  * Drainage installation

  * Kerbing works

  * Working around live services

Key Responsibilities:

  * Setting out and overseeing site operations

  * Managing and coordinating multiple gangs simultaneously

  * Ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, and to specification

  * Maintaining accurate site records, surveys, and as-built drawings

  * Liaising effectively with site teams, subcontractors, and management

  * Monitoring progress and resolving on-site issues proactively

Requirements:

  * Minimum 5 years' experience as a Site Engineer

  * Proven background in groundworks and highways projects

  * Proficient in AutoCAD

  * Own laptop and vehicle

  * Valid CSCS Card

  * Strong communication and organisational skills

  * Ability to work independently and use initiative

  * Experience managing multiple work fronts and site teams

Desirable:

  * SMSTS or SSSTS certification
