Job Description

We are currently looking to recruit an experienced Site Engineer to join a major civil engineering and infrastructure project based in the East Midlands. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive and driven individual who can take ownership on site and help drive works forward safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

  * Setting out and surveying using a Leica TS16

  * Managing and completing QA documentation and quality records

  * Producing and reviewing ITPs (Inspection & Test Plans)

  * Overseeing drainage and associated civil engineering works

  * Working closely with site management and subcontractors

  * Ensuring works are completed in line with drawings and specifications

  * Maintaining high standards of health, safety, and quality

  * Driving programme and productivity on site

Requirements

  * Proven experience working as a Site Engineer within civils / groundworks

  * Strong knowledge and experience of QA processes and paperwork

  * Competent setting out engineer with experience using a TS16

  * Experience on large drainage schemes

  * Knowledge of sheet piling

  * Ability to read and work from drawings using AutoCAD

  * Valid CSCS Card

  * Degree, HNC/HND, or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering

  * Full UK driving licence

  * Based in the Midlands or willing to relocate

  * Available to start within 1–2 weeks

  * Strong communication skills with a proactive attitude

  * Ability to work independently and help drive projects forward
