Job Description

Site Engineer / Setting Out Engineer

Location: Devonport Dockyard, Plymouth
Rate: Up to £380 per day Umbrella PAYE + £50 per day (taxable) Working Away Allowance
Contract: 12 Months
Hours: 45 Hours per Week
Security Clearance: Must be eligible for BPSS/SC Clearance

The Role

We're recruiting experienced Site Engineers / Setting Out Engineers to join a major infrastructure project at Devonport Dockyard.

This is an excellent opportunity to work on a long-term, high-profile project where quality, precision and technical excellence are key.

Responsibilities

Carry out setting out using Leica or Trimble equipment.
Establish survey control and ensure works are built to specification.
Produce as-built surveys and site records.
Complete quality documentation and inspection records.
Support site teams and subcontractors throughout construction.
Ensure works are delivered safely and to the required quality standards.

Requirements

Experience as a Site Engineer, Setting Out Engineer, Survey Engineer or similar.
Strong setting out and surveying background.
Experience using Leica or Trimble equipment.
Good understanding of QA/QC processes and quality documentation.
Experience on major civil engineering or infrastructure projects.Experience within nuclear, defence, highways, water, marine, rail or other heavy civils projects is highly desirable.
