Site Engineer – Woking (AWE Project)

CarmichaelUK is recruiting for an experienced Site Engineer to join a major infrastructure project in Woking, supporting works on a high-profile AWE scheme.

We're looking for a practical, hands-on engineer who enjoys being out on site, taking ownership of engineering activities, and working closely with site teams to deliver works safely and efficiently.

Location: Woking

Duration: Long-term opportunity

Key Responsibilities

Setting out and surveying for civil engineering and infrastructure works
	
Providing day-to-day engineering support to site operations
	
Checking works are delivered in accordance with drawings and specifications
	
Producing and maintaining quality and as-built records
	
Supporting site managers and supervisors with engineering solutions
	
Liaising with subcontractors and ensuring works are completed safely

Requirements

Previous experience as a Site Engineer on civil engineering or infrastructure projects
	
Strong setting out background using Leica, Trimble, or Topcon equipment
	
Comfortable being site-based and working closely with operational teams
	
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
	
CSCS card required
	
A proactive, boots-on-the-ground approach to project delivery
	
AWE clearance or eligibility to obtain clearance would be advantageous
