Job Description
RTL Group are looking for an engineer to work on a civils project in Shrewsbury starting next week.The project involves roads, drainage, deep excavations, concrete works, and associated infrastructure. You will play a vital role in setting out, surveying, and ensuring the quality and paperwork on-site.
Key Responsibilities
*
Setting out for earthworks, roads, drainage, and RC structures
*
Checking plans, drawings, and quantities for accuracy of calculations
*
Liaising with subcontractors, engineers, and site management
*
Maintaining site records including RAMS, ITPs, and quality checks
*
Ensuring all works are carried out to the highest health & safety standards
*
Providing technical support to operatives and supervisors on-site
*
Assisting with as-built drawings and handover documentation
Requirements
*
Degree or HNC in Civil Engineering or similar discipline
*
Minimum 2-3 years' experience in a Site Engineer role on civils/groundworks projects
*
Strong setting out skills using GPS/Total Station and AutoCAD
*
Valid CSCS card – SSSTS or SMSTS desirable
*
Strong understanding of drainage, earthworks, and reinforced concrete
*
Good communication skills and a proactive attitude
*
