Site/Senior Engineer – Irish Midlands | €65,000-€90,000 (doe) + Benefits
A well-established main contractor is seeking a Site/Senior Engineer to join their team for key projects in the Irish Midlands- Laois/ Kilkenny. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer to play a pivotal role in the successful delivery of high-quality construction projects.
Responsibilities
• Oversee site engineering activities, including setting out, levelling, and surveying.
• Ensure that all works are carried out in accordance with project specifications, drawings, and industry regulations.
• Coordinate with the site management team, subcontractors, and suppliers to maintain efficient site operations.
• Monitor and enforce health and safety standards, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
• Assist in the preparation of progress reports, quality documentation, and as-built records.
• Identify and resolve technical challenges, providing support to site teams and project managers.
• Liaise with design teams and consultants to clarify project details and address any issues that arise.
Requirements
• A degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related discipline.
• Previous experience in a site engineering role, ideally with a main contractor.
• Proficiency in setting out, using surveying equipment, and interpreting technical drawings.
• Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, safety regulations, and quality control procedures.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to coordinate with various stakeholders.
• A full driving license and willingness to travel to site as required.
