The Role:
As Site Engineer, you will:
Provide engineering support to the Site Manager and Project Team on the highways scheme.
Assist in setting out works, undertaking levelling and measuring, and ensuring accurate construction in accordance with drawings and specifications.
Prepare and maintain detailed site records, including daily reports and as-built drawings.
Monitor progress against the project program and budget.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company procedures.
Liaise with other members of the project team, subcontractors, and clients.
Assist in the management of materials and resources on site.
Identify and report any potential problems or risks to the Site Manager.
Contribute to a safe and efficient working environment.
What We're Looking For:
A relevant qualification in Civil Engineering (HNC/HND or Degree).
Experience working as a Site Engineer on highways schemes. Experience in Edinburgh is desirable but not essential.
A good understanding of construction techniques and best practice for highway works.
Proficiency in using surveying equipment and software (e.g., total stations, GPS, AutoCAD).
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
A proactive and solutions-oriented approach.
