Site Engineer - Major Highway Project - Colchester
A leading civil engineering firm, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Structures Site Engineer to join our team on a major highway project. This is an exciting opportunity to work on complex structures and contribute to a project that will enhance regional transportation.
What You'll Do:
Provide technical expertise and support for the construction of highway structures, ensuring adherence to design specifications, drawings, and quality standards.
Oversee setting out and construction activities, ensuring accurate placement of structures and components.
Monitor construction progress, identify potential issues, and implement solutions to maintain project timelines.
Collaborate effectively with engineers, supervisors, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
Champion safety on the project, promoting a culture of awareness and ensuring adherence to the highest safety standards.
What We Need:
Proven experience as a Structures Site Engineer on highway or similar large-scale civil engineering projects.
Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and regulations relevant to highway structures.
Proficiency in using surveying equipment and relevant software.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
Problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to managing challenges.
A commitment to safety, with a proven ability to implement and uphold the highest safety standards.
