Job Description
Site Engineer – Residential – South Dublin
We are currently partnering with a Tier 1 Main Contractor with bases across Ireland who are in the process of a €6,000,000 office build in Portlaoise. Due to continued growth, they are now seeking an experienced Site Engineer to join their team in South Dublin.
Responsibilities
* Setting Out & Surveys: Perform accurate setting out for foundations, plot boundaries, drainage, blockwork, and floor levels using GPS and total station, ensuring alignment with architectural and structural drawings.
* Concrete Works Oversight: Supervise concrete pours for strip foundations, floor slabs, retaining walls, and structural elements; manage reinforcement checks, concrete testing, and quality control during each phase.
* Site Coordination: Work closely with the Site Manager and subcontractors to coordinate daily site activities, ensuring planned works are carried out efficiently and safely.
* Quality Control & Record Keeping: Maintain comprehensive records of setting out data, inspections, concrete pour reports, and snagging; ensure all works meet Irish building regulations and project-specific quality standards.
* Health, Safety & Environmental Compliance: Support a safe site environment by enforcing H&S policies, identifying potential risks, and ensuring environmental and site safety standards are upheld across all construction stages.
Requirements
Must have degree level qualification or equivalent trades background
Must have 3+ years’ experience working at site level on construction projects
Must have Irish Passport or RTW in Ireland
