Freelance Site Engineer – 6-Week Contract
Bathgate & Wester Hailes
Mon–Thurs: 8am–4pm | Fri: Early finish at 1pm
PAYE, Umbrella, CIS – Ltd Co. options considered
Looking for your next freelance role with a steady routine and great work-life balance? We’re recruiting an experienced Site Engineer for a 6-week housing development project, working across sites in Bathgate and Wester Hailes. The client is looking to hire a permanent engineer, so you have the option to be considered for this perm role or to stay beyond 6 weeks until the client find a permanent candidate.
What you’ll be doing:
Setting out plots for new housing using a total station
Working with CAT & Genny for service detection and site safety
Supporting a well-organised and established team on site
What you’ll need:
A solid background in residential groundworks or housebuilding
Experience in setting out independently
Proficiency with total stations and CAT & Genny
A valid CSCS card
The offer:
Steady hours with a Friday early finish
6-week freelance contract, starting ASAP
Payment options to suit your setup – PAYE, Umbrella, or CIS
Ltd Company contractors welcome (subject to CEST assessment)
