Site Engineer - Edinburgh
Hours: 7:30am - 5:30pm
Red Sky Personnel are recruiting on behalf of a leading civil engineering contractor for an experienced Site Engineer to join a major project in Edinburgh. This is an exciting opportunity to work on high-profile works, with excellent career progression and a strong commitment to employee development.
Key Responsibilities:
Site & Setting Out: Carry out accurate setting out using surveying instruments and technical drawings.
Project & Design Management: Interpret plans, raise RFIs, and help resolve design issues.
Commercial Awareness: Support project efficiency by understanding contracts, costs, and materials.
Quality & Safety: Apply quality procedures, conduct inspections, and promote safe working practices.
Team Leadership: Oversee junior engineers, subcontractors, and site teams to ensure performance.
Person Specification:
HNC or above in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or Structural Engineering.
Proven experience delivering setting out and engineering processes.
Proficient in CAD software, ideally with EDM single-person working kit experience.
Strong surveying and setting out skills, with the ability to mentor others.
Experience managing and developing Graduate and Apprentice Engineers.
