Job Description
Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Site Engineer to join their growing civil engineering team. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality engineering support across a range of construction and infrastructure projects. You will be responsible for ensuring that works are set out accurately, completed safely, and meet all technical and quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Support the preparation of method statements, risk assessments, task sheets, and environmental procedures.
*
Understand and implement Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), ensuring hold points are observed and check sheets are completed.
*
Provide technical and engineering support to resolve on-site challenges and address technical queries.
*
Set out works accurately within allowable tolerances and regularly check benchmarks and control points.
*
Ensure all setting-out instruments and measuring equipment are calibrated, certified, and recorded correctly.
*
Communicate setting-out information effectively to the workforce, ensuring clarity and understanding.
*
Assist in preparing and issuing sketches and drawings to site teams.
*
Support the implementation of the company’s Health and Environmental Management System to maintain a safe working environment.
*
Manage change processes, including design change requests, subcontractor checks, and procedural updates.
*
Maintain daily site diaries and progress trackers to monitor and record project performance.
*
Provide accurate information to support the procurement of materials and services.
*
Assist the Sub-Agent with materials procurement and subcontractor coordination.
*
Contribute to the training and development of junior engineers on site.
Essential Criteria
*
Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Site Engineer on civil engineering projects.
*
Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
*
Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and site compliance.
*
Proven ability to prioritise time-critical tasks effectively.
*
Excellent communication, teamwork, and liaison skills.
*
Valid CSCS card.
*
Full UK driving licence.
*
SMSTS qualification is desirable.
