JOB: Site Engineering Supervisor
Location: Cheddar, Somerset
Hours: Monday to Friday (Standard 8am - 5pm) + Overtime + Call-Outs
Contract: Permanent
Overview:
We are seeking a Site Engineering Supervisor for our client based in Cheddar. You will be responsible for supervising site engineers, overseeing project execution, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, and implementing standardized site processes to maintain operational efficiency and compliance. This position will involve travel throughout the South West Region
Key Responsibilities:
* Act as the primary point of contact for site-related issues encountered by engineers.
* Supervise site engineers, including monitoring quality standards and managing performance.
* Notify the Site Service Manager when parts and materials arrive to ensure timely job scheduling.
* Source and order spare parts as required for ongoing and upcoming jobs.
* Prepare job costings and ensure accurate financial tracking.
* Provide cover for the Site Service Manager when needed.
* Contribute to the development of risk assessments and method statements.
* Complete and submit daily timesheets in accordance with company procedures.
* Be available for call-out shifts or overtime as directed by the Site Service Manager.
* Identify training needs and deliver appropriate coaching and support.
* Undertake any other duties within your capabilities as directed by the company.
Skills & Attributes:
* Proven experience in an engineering or manufacturing environment.
* Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge.
* Solid understanding of safety protocols and appropriate use of PPE.
* Excellent people management and leadership skills.
* Clear and concise communication abilities.
* Flexibility to work outside standard hours when required.
* Full Diving License as site visits are compulsory
* Customer-focused with a strong commitment to supporting engineers.
* Solution-oriented with strong problem-solving capabilities.
* Proficient in computer systems and software relevant to the role.
