Job Description
We are recruiting for a Site Maintenance Manager for a leading manufacturing company to oversee maintenance operations at one of its key facilities in East Lothian. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic and innovative organisation at the forefront of sustainable manufacturing and green technology.
About the Role:
Reporting to the Plant Manager, you will be responsible for all mechanical, electrical, and automation maintenance activities, as well as site projects and maintenance systems. You'll lead a team of fitters and electricians, driving performance and reliability across the plant.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the maintenance team to ensure optimal performance of equipment and personnel.
Oversee asset management, preventive and condition-based maintenance strategies.
Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental standards.
Develop and manage CMMS systems (e.g., PEMAC) for scheduling, stores, and purchasing.
Deliver key performance indicators including uptime, downtime, and maintenance efficiency.
Drive continuous improvement through lean maintenance practices and process engineering.
Manage maintenance budgets and project costs effectively.
Collaborate with external contractors to complete maintenance and project work to high standards.
Coach and develop team members to meet industry best practices.Requirements:
Engineering qualification (mechanical/electrical) or equivalent experience.
Minimum 10 years' experience in maintenance/engineering management, ideally in heavy industry.
Strong leadership and people management skills.
Proven experience with maintenance strategies such as RCM, TPM, and asset management.
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication skills and ability to build trusted relationships.
