Job Description

Uttoxeter | Immediate Start | 2–3 Week Contract

Approach Personnel are currently recruiting for an experienced Site Manager to provide holiday cover on a live construction project in Uttoxeter.

This is a short-term contract with an immediate start, lasting approximately 2–3 weeks. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the finishing stages of the project, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, and to a high standard of quality.

Scope of Works

The project is currently in the finishing phase and will involve overseeing:

  * Plastering works

  * Joinery works

  * Kitchen installations

  * Bathroom installations

  * External works

Duties & Responsibilities

  * Manage day-to-day site operations

  * Coordinate subcontractors and trades on site

  * Monitor quality and progress of finishing works

  * Manage snagging and ensure timely completion of outstanding items

  * Maintain health and safety standards and site compliance

  * Liaise with the project team and provide regular progress updates

  * Assist in driving the project towards successful completion and handover

Requirements

  * Valid CSCS Card

  * Valid SMSTS Certificate

  * Valid First Aid at Work Certificate

  * Previous experience as a Site Manager within the construction industry

  * Strong background in managing finishing works and project handovers

  * Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills
