The Role
A great site manager opportunity with a focus on fire protection, is available.
The role requires experience in fire protection projects and relevant certifications like FIRAS and SMSTS. The position involves managing daily operations, overseeing subcontractors, and ensuring high-quality work, with a focus on fire stopping and building refurbishment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Daily Site Management:
* Managing on-site operations, including coordinating subcontractors and ensuring smooth workflow.
* Fire Protection Expertise:
* Overseeing fire stopping works, ensuring compliance with design specifications, regulations, and safety protocols.
* Health & Safety:
* Implementing and maintaining strict health and safety standards on-site, including RAMS, PPE, and adherence to hospital protocols (if applicable).
* Communication:
* Conducting daily briefings, toolbox talks, and communicating changes or hazards to workers.
* Coordination:
* Liaising with various stakeholders (hospital staff, main contractors, fire protection inspectors) to facilitate access and minimize disruptions.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
* Experience: Significant experience in fire protection projects.
* Certifications: Valid FIRAS and SMSTS certifications (or equivalent).
* Teamwork: A team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Proactivity: A proactive approach to problem-solving and task management.
* Knowledge: A genuine interest in fire safety and a willingness to expand knowledge in the field.
